Its an effort to review the strategy of implementation of Gene expert. all the facets of Gen expert utilisation , limitation were studied. still i would like to know whats the reality about the effective outcome of Genexpert testing

A very well presented data. A good example of PPP in TB control but has looked at the weaknesses in implementations and also suggestions given.
Childhood TB - non availability of experts and drugs have been highlighted. Even improper supervision has been held responsible for poor implementation.

More than Genexpert what is needed is awareness programmes and counselling at individual level so that the uptake of this facility is improved especially among HIV positive cases or among PLHIV.

Appropriate drug availability in proper strength for pediatric TB management is necessary to prevent future reservoirs of TB cases.

This presentation reiterates the challenges in implementation of a program at the field level.Introducing a new diagnostic technique requires great deal of microplanning.

The focus of the national progam is on the smear positive cases of TB.The picture of smear negative and extrapulmonary Tb remains unclear.
